My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Angelica is a 12 week old, 12 lb double Merle Australian Shepherd. Unfortunately due to her breeding, she is deaf and we believe she has some vision impairment. You wouldn’t know it when you met her though! She is playful, happy, social and eager to engage with people. Angelica’s currently in a foster home with other dogs and toddlers and gets along well with everyone.

Foster Update: Angelica is an adorable double merle Aussie. She is estimated to be 12 weeks old as of 7/25 when she arrived from Texas.  She loves toys and will fetch a ball and is learning how to catch a frisbee. She is learning hand signals since she is deaf. She has a hard time seeing when it is sunny but is fine in house. She is in a foster home with another dog and cat that she respects. She is crate trained but needs to have it covered at night otherwise she will practice her vocal skills. She has typical herding instincts and is very food motivated. She greets visitors to the home hoping they will pet or play with her. She is close to potty trained. She is great with , kids and is respectful of cats. We are looking for a single family home that has a securely fenced yard, a resident dog for her to learn from and if you have any experience with deaf dog training that would be great but not mandatory.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA guidelines, negative heartworm test, and microchip. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.
