Meet Jacob, a playful and friendly adult dog who's bursting with curiosity. He's a social butterfly who usually prefers his own company, but don't let his independence fool you. He loves a good game of fetch and is always ready to explore new scents and sights. He enjoys agility, car rides, fetch, toys, and walks. Jacob is leash trained and house trained, making him an easy fit for any home. Jacob's friendly nature makes him a hit with children; he's always gentle and patient with them but because he is strong, large, and occasionally nips when being handled, he'll need to live with kids at least 10 years old. He does have a dominant personality with other dogs but he is sometimes submissive so you will need to bring your dog to meet him to be sure they get along. In his home he was easygoing, friendly, playful, and respectful but has shown some reactivity when seeing other shelter dogs. His obedience and intelligence is commendable. He knows the sit, stay, come, no, down, and off commands. He was only given up because of his owners' divorce. His calm nature makes him an absolute joy to be around but his deep, resonating bark may seem intimidating. It's just his unique way of communicating his excitement and curiosity about the world around him or his attempt to gain your attention for a treat or playtime. Jacob is ready to jump into your life with all four paws and onto your lap if given a chance. He's an affectionate 90-pound lap dog. His playful spirit and independent streak make him a unique companion. His intelligence will impress you, his curiosity will charm you, and his friendly nature will win your heart. Adopt Jacob and let his playful spirit brighten your life. (tw 8/31/2024)
