My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As an 8 year old, 70 lb, lab mix, Simon may not be a young pup anymore, but that doesn't mean he needs a loving home any less.

He came in as a stray, so we don't have anything on his background, but so far we have learned that Simon is:

- Good with kids

- Loves all people

- Gets along with my 7 resident dogs, male and female, all sizes and ages

- Would also do well as an only dog, since he really just wants to be around his people

- Housebroken

- Doesn't need a crate

- Doesn't bark at neighbors/other dogs

- UTD on vaccines

- Microchipped

- Just wants to snuggle and lay on the couch

As Simon is an older/bigger dog, he does have hearing loss, as well as some arthritis/hip dysplasia and takes Carprofen 2x/day. He also had a few mast cell tumors removed and, due to struggling with coming out of anesthesia for those bump removals, the current bumps are just being monitored at this time.

Simon is a wonderful dog, so I hope someone will give this sweet guy a chance and the loving home to live out his golden years as he deserves! ♥ï¸

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
