My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mars and Neptune are the funniest duo!

Mars loves to run after wand toys at top speed. She loves to scratch her cardboard scratcher and any old box I leave around for her. Mars also loves to chase a crinkly ball or a mousey. She's not the most coordinated kitty which makes for many goofy moments. Her favorite pets are on her cheeks and chin as well as her belly. She loves it when you say "oh, hiiiiii" because she knows it means kisses. She'll flop over at a moment's notice for a belly rub.

Mars and Neptune are serious about their feeding schedule. You don't have to remember it because they'll be sure to sit on your chest in the morning to demand breakfast. In the evening, they will wrestle near their bowls until you notice and come fill them up! However, the thing Mars and Neptune both love most is each other! You'll always find them snuggled up together giving each other a nice groom.

If you ever need to find them or lure them anywhere, they will always come running to a high pitched "Babies!!!" call.

Additional adoption info

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue

We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
