My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You`re going to love Marley - her bubbly spirit is unmatched. Yes to being a pleaser and wanting to get along with everyone in this big world. She`s great with adults and lived with a young child. She`s successfully been amongst cows, horses, ducks, turkey and chickens. We heard she`s not a fan of cats, squirrels and pigs. She`s not lived with another dog but if you have a sweet friend for her, let`s set up a meet and greet to see how they hit it off.

You may have guessed it! Marley has spent a good deal of time outdoors and would enjoy a blended indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Living in cramped quarters would not be her thing, but home or country living with a piece of her own yard would be her perfect delight.

She`s gorgeous, she`s housetrained and she`s heartworm negative.
She advocated for by her friends and fans including ClassicCaninesATX.

Additional adoption info

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day!
For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites.
For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.

Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older

More about this shelter

Austin Animal Center is the largest open-intake animal shelter in central Texas and we work very hard to try to save 90% or more of the thousands of animals we shelter every year. We always need volunteers and both monetary and in-kind donations to help us in our sheltering and prevention activities. Visit our website to find out how you can help!
