Hi there! I’m Princess Leia, a charming Dutch bunny with a a beautiful heterochromia making my eyes uniquely beautiful! My glossy coat and perky ears make me quite the looker, and I have a personality to match. Every morning, I’m the first to greet my foster mom, my little nose twitching in excitement as I anxiously await my breakfast. I love to leap and zoom around my pen, my fluffy tail a blur of happiness.
I found my way into foster care after a significant change in my family's situation. Despite the upheaval, I was very loved in my previous home and continue to soak up affection from my foster family. When I first arrived, I was a bit shy and hesitant. Moving from the only home I had ever known was a big adjustment, but I quickly settled in. As I grew more comfortable, my true personality began to shine. The world revolves around me and my undeniable cuteness!
Once we established a routine, I thrived. I’m a bunny who loves predictability, and if anything changes, like when my foster mom travels for work and her family steps in to care for me, I make sure to express my displeasure. Instead of my usual enthusiastic greeting, I’ll hide away until things are back to normal. I really do prefer the special care and routine my foster mom provides.
Since coming into foster care, my diet has become much more exciting. I now enjoy a variety of mixed greens like green and red leaf lettuce, romaine, bibb lettuce, and radicchio. Cilantro is my absolute favorite, and I also love nibbling on watermelon, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, carrots, and some kale.
I’m a social bunny who never minded the gentle family dog or the other foster bunnies nearby. I would be a wonderful addition to a family with older children and pets that aren’t predatory. I’m fully vetted and vaccinated, have excellent litter box habits, and would love to meet you! So, if you're looking for a cute, sweet, and silly bunny to add to your family, I'm your girl!

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
