Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This mama and her five babies were left in a crate outside of animal control when the babies were only a few days old. Sadly, one puppy didn't make it. Animal control reached out to JoJo's and we took in mama and her four babies before the pups had their eyes open.
We gave them a birth date of May 20, 2024. Their adoptions were delayed while we treated them for ringworm (which is a fungal infection, not a type of worm, that puppies with weak immune systems are most susceptible to.) They have been treated for several weeks and are all doing great now.
We do not know their breed for certain, but they look pretty Pittie. Mama Violet looks like she has some hound in her, She is estimated to be 3-4 years old and weighs about 42 lbs, so we are guessing her puppies will grow up to be medium sized (50-60 lbs?)
The puppies have been well-socialized since they were a few days old and are all very sweet, friendly and playful. While they may not be fully house-trained, they are accustomed to using a doggy door to go outside and do their business, so they have a very good jump start on being housetrained. They will just need to learn to tell you how to let you know when they need to go out so if you are vigilant, finalizing their training should be very fast.
If you think you might want to give this sweet pup a home, please email jojosdogrescue@gmail.com and we will send you an application, or visit our website: www.jojosdoghouse.com and download one. Adoption fee is $250, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, parasite treatment, and microchip with lifetime registration.
Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters!

We are foster based, so meet and greets are set up after approval. Email applications to jojosdogrescue@gmail.com
2.
Approve Application
We are pretty much a two-person operation, but usually our application review process is fast -- often the same day as received.
3.
Meet the Pet
With application pre-approved, adopters are able to take a pup home from their meet and greet if they are ready and the pup is old enough
Additional adoption info
We have an application process and we will check vet and personal references (usually takes only 1-2 days). There is also an adoption contract and fee which helps to cover vet and other expenses. The contract is designed to ensure the dog is cared for in all ways and if you are ever unable to care for the dog, re-homing is approved by us. If the dog is too young to be spayed/neutered before going home, you will also sign a document committing to having the dog fixed and the rescue will follow up.
