(Bonded Pair w/Tux)
Daisy is a beautiful 4-1/2 year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner (along with her companion Tux) through no fault of their own due to an unexpected housing issue.
Daisy has a brown tabby short smooth coat with bronze shading, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes which seem to be enhanced with black eyeliner, a brown velvet nose, a dusting of white on her muzzle, and long white whiskers.
Daisy is good with children of all ages, and she is also good with other cats. Daisy has not been around dogs, so we don't know how she would react to canine friends.
Daisy (and Tux) have been exclusive indoor-only kitties, so that would be a requirement for their new home as well. They faithfully use their litterbox and have been accustomed to grass seed litter but will use fine clay litter as well. Daisy and Tux have been accustomed to eating Fromm Cat Food (and they LOVE wet food). They both enjoy laser cat toys.
Daisy is up-to-date on vaccinations including rabies vaccine.
Daisy is actually an HSOV alumnus who was adopted from HSOV on June 17, 2020. Her name at that time was Shadow and she was a cute older kitten. Shadow (aka Daisy) was combo tested on June 9, 2020 and was negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She was spayed on June 12, 2020.
Daisy & Tux were inseparable in their previous home. Daisy seems to have assumed the role of ‘big sister/mother figure’ to Tux, and he depends upon her for comfort/security. Daisy & Tux are sharing a double-wide cage since we didn’t have the heart to separate them. Daisy weighs 10+ lbs. Tux weighs 8+ lbs.
Both of these awesome kitties were originally adopted from HSOV, and we know that they have known nothing but love and the best care in their previous home.
Daisy & Tux are looking for a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue with someone who will once again love, cherish, and spoil them to their heart’s content.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
Update: Daisy & Tux were adopted together on December 15, 2024 but were returned on December 22, 2024 through no fault of their own. There were small children in their new home which frightened Daisy & Tux, so they stayed hidden until the youngsters went to bed. Their family loved these kitties very much but felt it was unfair to them hiding most of the time.
Daisy and Tux are gentle and rather shy, so they are looking for a quiet home with someone who will have the patience to let them acclimate to their new surroundings on their own time frame (and with no small/active children in the home).
