Tux is an adorable 2-year old male Tuxedo kitty who was surrendered by his owner (along with his best friend Daisy) through no fault of their own due to an unexpected housing issue.
Tux has a sleek black-and-white short smooth coat in a tuxedo pattern, white socks on his paws, a long tail, and an adorable face with bright golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
Tux is good with children of all ages, and he is also good with other cats. Tux has not been around dogs, so we don't know how he would react to canine friends.
Tux (and Daisy) have been exclusive indoor-only kitties, so that would be a requirement for their new home as well. They faithfully use their litterbox and have been accustomed to grass seed litter but will use fine clay litter as well. Tux and Daisy have been accustomed to eating Fromm Cat Food (and they LOVE wet food). They both enjoy laser cat toys, and Tux loves straws. Both of these kitties will chew on cords!!
Tux has a delightful personality and is affectionate as well as playful though he can be a bit skittish/afraid of strangers. Tux will hide when he is afraid (and he loves to snuggle up in covered beds). Tux hates getting his nails trimmed. Tux's nose will 'dribble' when he's getting lovings and rubs/petting from his person.
Tux is actually an HSOV alumnus who was adopted from HSOV on December 16, 2022. His name at that time was Mike-D and he was a cute 4-month old kitten. Tux (fka Mike-D) was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on October 23, 2022. He weighed 1.8 lbs that day. Tux aka Mike-D was given booster vaccines on November 14th and December 14th 2022. Tux aka Mike-D was neutered on December 13, 2022 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 3.1 lbs that day,
We have included one of Tux aka Mike-Ds 'big boy' photos which was taken on December 11th 2022 as he frolicked around the holiday decorations in our studio (and did a little re-arranging when he decided that the pine cones were great toys). He was cute as a kitten and is absolutely gorgeous as a young man.
Tux & Daisy were inseparable in their previous home. Daisy seems to have assumed the role of ‘big sister/mother figure’ to Tux, and he depends upon her for comfort/security. Tux & Daisy are sharing a double-wide cage since we didn’t have the heart to separate them. Daisy weighs 10+ lbs. Tux weighs 8+ lbs.
Both of these awesome kitties were originally adopted from HSOV, and we know that they have known nothing but love and the best care in their previous home.
Tux & Daisy are looking for a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue with someone who will once again love, cherish, and spoil them to their heart’s content.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
