FOR ADOPTION: SALAMI is an incredibly personable approximately 5 year old male looking for a forever family to shower with his affection. This big boy arrived in our care after bending trapped with a massive wound on his side that needed immediate attention. When animals arrive in live traps one must always approach with caution. There is a guess game of “are you scared or feral” but Salami turned out to be neither. He was rubbing himself all over the trap walls and purring whenever we would even look at him and melted into our arms as soon as we opened the door. Salami was so happy to finally have help! His wound was very large and he had obviously had it a long time. Salami had antibiotics to settle everything down and then Surgery to close up the wound and get neutered. He’s now all healed up and eagerly looking forward to meeting his forever family. Salami has been phenomenal with people of all ages since he arrived at the shelter, if you have the time to give him cuddles, or head scratches his heart will belong to you. Salami has been quite confident and comfortable around the calm and respectful dogs we’ve introduced him to and he seems quite open to life around other cats. When he is not cuddling Salami wants to explore! He would do best in a home with a catio, learning to walk on harness and going on adventures or indoor/outdoor in a safe environment.
