Meet Sadie!

Sadie is a big sweetheart who loves to hike, eat, and sleep—preferably in a patch of sunshine on your deck. Absolutely beautiful, she is a mixed breed—likely Rhodesian Ridgeback with a possibility of Boerboel (South African mastiff). At 6 years old, Sadie is healthy, strong, and looks younger than her age.

Sadie is house-trained and happy to sleep in a crate or next to your bed. Sadie walks well on a leash and enjoys agility activities like jumping and balance exercises. She is very affectionate and loves to be petted, especially in the morning. Sadie is smart, loyal, protective, and highly food-motivated. She is trainable and knows numerous commands.

Sadie lives in NYC and manages a city environment just fine, but she'd be very happy to have more space to run around and chase birds. She'd be happiest in a home with no young children or other pets and plenty of time to go on long walks and explore the woods. Sadie would also love someone who would be home with her most of the time as she adores being with her people!

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

Go meet their pets

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
