My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Bullwinkle, but you can call me Bully for short. I'm a handsome 1 and a half year old with a goofy personality and a docked tail. I am housebroken and I don't have accidents so you don't have to worry about that. I'm a friendly fella, but please don't bring cats into the picture - they make me too excited. If I have to be around other dogs, I prefer the ladies. My favorite thing to do is play with stuffies, but they always somehow spontaneously combust and then there is white stuff everywhere...every.single.time!! I don't know why this happens. I'm also great for car rides and love running errands with my foster mom.

My ideal family will provide me with good structure and training so that I can be the best Bulldoggie there is! I encompass many of the traits of an American Bulldog - headstrong, confident, and loyal to the core. For this reason, I would love an owner who has experience with power breeds or someone that is devoted to me! My energy level is about a medium, but I would love an outlet to burn off some extra energy. Either a fenced in yard or, if that's not possible, some sort of training and structured walks! I'm a good boy at heart and I just want to please.

I recently completed a 1 week board and train program. I now know how to sit, lie down, stay, and place. I also walk great on a loose leash with my prong collar!

Bullwinkle is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/HOTNADOPTUSA

Adoption process:
Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.

From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.

Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
