Meet Oakley, a remarkable hamster who has overcome a lot to find his place in our rescue. Oakley came to us from a challenging Pet Retention case involving over 200 hamsters, in which he was housed with 60+ hamsters in a single cage. He arrived with extreme defensive wounds on his front legs from being housed in overcrowded conditions, which left him unable to bend his legs. Thanks to dedicated care and time, Oakley has healed beautifully and now enjoys life as a happy, typical hamster.

Though Oakley was born with a slightly misshapen skull, causing his eyes to be placed higher on his head, this unique feature only adds to his charm. Despite the hardships he's faced, Oakley is incredibly sweet, gentle, and mild-mannered. He keeps his cage clean and shows immense gratitude for every bit of love and care he receives.

Oakley is looking for a forever home where he can continue to thrive and be cherished. If you're ready to offer a loving space to a truly special hamster, Oakley is waiting to bring joy and warmth to your life. He may look a bit different, but his heart is as big as his spirit.
