My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Santa Cruz. I'm a handsome but shy tuxedo male with black and white short hair and a cute pink nose adorned with two freckles. I was born around July 26, 2019 and lived in a home for many years with my friend Serena, who may be a relative but uncertain. Then, our owner passed away, and we ended up alone much of the time in an empty house with minimal check-ins from the extended family for food and water. Finally, with the help of Wild Blue, I am now among people again getting used to the activity and sounds that go along with daily life. Despite all that time alone, I'm friendly and love getting full-body pets once I get to know you. Even though I may not purr much yet, I almost melt in your hand with chin scratches and thrive with attention. I'm more relaxed and my personality is shining bright, although I am still concerned around a busy room. I'm already neutered and have been checked over by the vet, so I'm all set to join a new family. I would do well with calm-natured older kids (10+ years) who will be gentle with me and teach me to enjoy playtime. It is not known if I have been around dogs, but a friendly older dog may be ok. I have lived with Serena all my life so a home with her or with another non-dominant cat would probably be ok. Knowing that I haven't been with any other pets, it is important to please follow Wild Blue's instructions on introducing me to others you currently have. I've been through a lot, but I look forward to sharing my love with someone who'll give me the care and affection I crave, and the time to come out of my shell. If you're looking for a quiet, sweet, affectionate companion, I might be perfect for you. I can't wait to start a new chapter in my life filled with stability and joy.
