Meet Buttermilk, a delightful dwarf hamster born on February 28, 2024! Buttermilk is one of the adorable babies rescued from a situation involving over 60 hamsters living in less-than-ideal conditions.

This sweet little hamster has a playful spirit and a loving heart. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and is always curious about new things. Though she’s currently housed with her siblings, Buttermilk is eager to find a home where she can be the center of attention and get all the love she deserves.

Our adoption requirements are (1) cage that meets or exceeds 450 square inches for dwarf hamsters and 600 square inches for Syrian hamsters (2) safe and appropriately sized wheel. Solid running surface; 8" for dwarves, 12" for Syrian hamsters (3) nutritious food. We recommend Mazuri/Higgin's Sunburst

We are Snow White's Rescue Cottage, a rescue for dwarf hamsters located in Camarillo, CA. We pull hamsters from local owners as well as LA County Shelters, and we typically have over 100 hamsters!
