Here's what the humans have to say about me:
So, picture this: I’m strutting down the mean streets of Indianapolis, minding my own business, when suddenly, I get scooped up and taken to the local shelter. Talk about a rough day. I was totally freaked out—who wouldn’t be? No idea how long I’d been out there fending for myself. It felt like ages, but who’s counting?
Fast forward a week, and guess what? Not a single soul comes looking for me. Can you believe that?
Anyway, I’m hanging out at this shelter for what seems like forever—okay, it was a week, but still—waiting for someone to claim me. Spoiler alert: No one did. But then, just when I was starting to think this was my new reality, a nice lady from Chihuahua Rescue Indiana swoops in like a superhero…She takes one look at me and decides I’m a “Petunia.” Yeah, because that’s the name that really screams, “I’ve seen some things.” Apparently, they needed it for their paperwork or something. Whatever. After a much-needed bath (I was so over that shelter smell), I get picked up by my new foster family. And just like that, I’m living the dream with 5 humans, 3 dogs, and 1 cat. Yep, I’m surrounded by a zoo. But hey, I’m a team player, and we all get along fabulously. The three kids? Total favorites, especially the little girl—I’m her shadow. Can you blame me? She’s adorable.
While the humans are off doing their work and school thing, I have the run of the house because, duh, I’m a good girl. Potty outside? Check. Puppy pads? Nailed it. Don’t let the “puppy” part fool you, though—I’m no spring chicken. The vet says I’m at least 11, but who’s counting?
Sure, I’ve got a few scars, but I wear them like badges of honor. And about that barking thing? I’m basically the silent type—no barks, growls, snarls, yaps, or whines from me. I did throw my Foster Mom a bone once and barked just to let her know I could if I wanted to. But that’s our little secret—I haven’t made a peep since.
So, if you’re thinking of meeting me, don’t be fooled by my shy act at first. I promise I’ll warm up, and when I do, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without me. I’ve still got plenty of love to give, so don’t overlook me. Oh, and for the record, my “official” name might be Petunia, but around here, they call me “CiCi.” ♥
