Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Greetings, potential paw-rents! I’m Lady Elinor, a 2-year-old, 70-pound Great Pyrenees mix who’s here to teach you the art of relaxation.
I was surrendered to PPFT because my previous owner had too many animals to care for and needed to rehome a few of us. It wasn’t an easy decision, but that is life for you. I’m now ready to bring my calm, fluffy presence to a new home where I can really shine.
Life with me is a bit like having a majestic, fluffy cloud drift into your home. I’m the kind of lady who doesn’t demand constant excitement. While I’ll politely tolerate other dogs and might even share a soft bed if you insist, my preference is to enjoy my people’s company in a calm and serene environment. I’m a big fan of kids, though, if you have them, I’ll happily accept their pets and adoring gazes.
Let’s talk about a few things you should know about living with a Great Pyrenees. I might seem like I’m ignoring you sometimes, but don’t worry—it’s just my long-term marriage face. And while my bark is more of a rare occurrence, when I do decide to make noise, it’s usually to let you know the neighbor squirrel is plotting world domination. I’m like a walking cloud of fluff—an ever-present reminder of the joys (and occasional challenges) of Great Pyrenees life. Expect a daily sprinkle of fluff wherever I go; think of it as my way of leaving a little bit of me with you. My shedding might rival a small snowstorm, so be prepared for a bit of extra vacuuming and brushing. I also have a charming tendency to assume that every room is my personal kingdom, so don’t be surprised if you find me lounging like royalty in the most unexpected places. Oh, and those times when I stare intently at you while you eat? It’s not begging; it’s my way of reminding you that I’m always here for a pat or two.
When it comes to new experiences, I’m a bit of an old soul. I might need a little help getting into the car, but once I’m there, I’ll chill out like a pro. I’m not one for high-energy activities or hiking; my idea of a perfect day involves lounging around and soaking up some affection. I’m more of a homebody who enjoys the quiet life, but with a little warmth, I’d be delighted to join you on your adventures—especially if they involve a soft bed or a cozy spot on the couch. Though I might not be the best at fetch or a huge fan of toys, I do have a soft spot for bones.
If you’re worried about the mess, rest easy—I’m potty trained, and I promise not to chew on anything that’s not meant for me. I’m also very well-mannered and don’t jump on people, preferring instead to greet you with a gentle tail wag and a request for some loving pats.
If you’re ready to embrace a life of relaxation and fluff with a touch of fluffy grandeur, I might just be your perfect match. I promise to be the best cuddle buddy you’ve ever had, with a side of whimsical fluff to make every day a little brighter. Your couch (and heart) will never be the same again!
