Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT URGENT URGENT - COULD GO TO SHELTER - THIS IS FROM HEIDI'S OWNER. Anyone who knows a family/persons with no kids that wants a loving St. Bernard? She's 4 years old, just got shots and check up last week. She needs a home with NO kids. House broken, does good on leash and off. Very well behaved with adults but takes some getting used to with people. She's great with other dogs, loves to play. Originally came from a home with multiple cats and dogs. She weighs about 112 lbs. She turned 4 in December. She is honestly one of the best dogs I've ever had, just does not do well with kids. We have tried a private trainer! It did not help!
She was in a home for 3+ years with an elderly couple and was never exposed to children or the outside world. She was never walked and only went outside in a small gated area outside. She lived in a wooded area so never even saw other people go by. We took her because they lost their home and couldn't keep her when they moved. We thought she would do great with us. She growls at all children all the time, not just mine. When the kids aren't around, she runs and plays like a puppy. When they are around, she hides in a corner and doesn't come out except to go outside. It's no life for her and not fair to my children to feel unsafe around her. She gets along with all of our neighbors' dogs and came from a home with multiple dogs and cats.
MORE ABOUT THIS SWEET GAL. Our 115 lb 4 yr old St Bernard. She is absolutely amazing, but she is very skiddish and does not do well with kids. She would need a home strictly with adults only. She does great with other dogs and cats, kids just are not her thing. We have had her for a year after her needing to be rehomed from her original owners when they lost their house and had to move to a place they could not bring her. We have tried dog training, but it was not successful. She is aggressive towards all children, not just mine by growling at them if they even pass her or try to come by her. If anyone knows anyone who may be interested, please contact me. We are located in Northwest Indiana. She is up to date on shots, spayed, house broken, listens in yard without leash. AKC paperwork included and is microchipped.
