Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
TALK about a TRANSFORMATION! Bella was surrendered to FOCCAS last month because her owner had passed away a couple years ago and the family couldn't take care of her anymore. In the meantime, the tumors that were hanging from her tummy just grew bigger and bigger. A couple weeks ago, Hanson Meekins removed the masses and cleaned her teeth. They believe she's about 13 years old, but as you can see from the video, she feels like a pup again!
-----
More info from her foster mom:
"I think having another would be helpful to her with her being deaf. She follows the lead from my dogs. And she does respond well to "signage.
Will need a fenced yard (she just tried getting away this afternoon), she loves the adventure of being free in a fenced yard.
She would probably chase cats. She's tried that here with a stray cat hanging out in our garden. Not sure about kids.
She has only been around my 9 yr old great Grandson. She did OK with him, but I had also explained her being deaf and he was good with her for the short visit.
She loves my adult son, will follow him all over the place and he plays a little with her. She also is very quiet during the day, comes alive in the evenings. She would probably do OK with someone working days, maybe? She's done OK when we've been gone.
*LOVES car rides.
*LOVES people. Greets everyone and all dogs at the vet.
*Does well on leash and harness, not a collar for walking.
----
We're now taking applications for this sweet girl. And yes, the tumors were probably cancerous, but she still needs a home for the time she has left - which could be months or years, we don't know. She's good with other dogs. She's housebroken. She's deaf. She's a lap dog, well, a big lap dog, lol. She has some sort of allergy and we've put her on special food to see if it helps. Also on allergy meds.
