My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Georgia! Georgia is half of a special bonded pair, with her brother Buddy. These two are truly something special and have been each other’s confidant. They must be adopted together. You can read about Buddy here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65f9ba051de1731c9e08e8c4

Georgia is as sweet as a Georgia Peach, hence her name. She is a petite little princess who will fill your days with love and joy. The first thing you’ll notice about Georgia is her beautiful blue/gray and white coat. Her eyes look at you with love and adoration as she curls up next to you for cuddles.

Georgia is a sweet girl who loves spending time outside, soaking up the sun. She enjoys playing with her brother Buddy, kids, and toys. Some of her favorite toys include squeaky toys and balls. She will play with Buddy for hours, so you don’t have to entertain them much if you’re working from home. She likes to communicate with you vocally to let you know what she needs.

Georgia is the more reserved one of the two. She lets her brother take treats first, and lets him test things out before she tries them. He gives her the confidence she needs to try new things. She is more timid when meeting new people and just needs a little time to warm up and accept pets from a stranger. Peanut butter is the quick way to her heart though!

Georgia lights up around kids. She previously lived with a 9yo, and when he entered the room, you could see her fill with happiness and excitement to see him. She loved to follow him around and play with him, and was always very gentle with him.

Georgia is crate trained and potty trained. She has a nice medium energy level. She loves to run around and play, and then cuddle up on the couch for a nice long nap. She’s still working on her leash skills, and needs Buddy with her to feel more confident on leash, but with some practice she will be great on walks and hikes. One of her favorite activities is to watch out the window to see any critter or person that might be walking by.

Georgia is a great pup who loves her family and is loyal to the bone. She is so tolerant that during her touch-test, she allowed the trainer to tug her tail and pick her up, with no reaction. During her assessment she met a cat and was respectful of it. She is dog friendly as well, but doesn’t want to live in a home with dogs, except for Buddy.

We estimate Georgia to be about 2 years old and possibly a Pitbull and Lab mix, but with rescue we can’t make any guarantees. She weighs about 35-40 lbs, making her a nice medium size. She will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can run and sunbathe with Buddy. Georgia will need a loving and patient adopter who will help her build confidence.

Georgia and Buddy are sure to fill your home with love, fun, and laughter. Don’t pass up this one-of-a-kind bonded pair. Currently fostered in Texas, Georgia is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. We will transport her for you to the PNW or NE areas.

*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone!

Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program.

Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue
