My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buddy! Buddy is half of a special bonded pair, with his sister Georgia. These two are truly something special and have been each other’s confidant. They must be adopted together. You can read about Georgia here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65f9adee11148a48d008debc

Buddy is a sweet and silly boy who will fill your days with love and joy! From his beautiful blue/gray and white coat, to his sweet and loving eyes, he is a truly handsome boy. Buddy is a happy boy who loves spending time outside, soaking up the sun. He enjoys playing with his sister Georgia, kids, and toys. Some of his favorite toys include squeaky toys and balls. He will keep you laughing as he bats the ball around and then pounces on it.

Buddy lights up around kids. He previously lived with a 9yo, and when he entered the room, you could see Buddy fill with happiness and excitement to see him. He loved to follow him around and play with him, and was always very gentle with him. Buddy is a great pup who loves his family and is loyal to the bone. He did well during his assessment and passed his cat test. He is dog friendly but doesn’t want to live with other dogs, except Georgia.

Buddy is the more confident one of the two. He greets new people with ease and is eager to try things first, before Georgia. He gives her the confidence she needs to try new things. He is more playful, silly, and relaxed.

Buddy is crate trained and potty trained. He has a nice medium energy level. He loves to run around and play, and then cuddle up on the couch for a nice long nap. He’s still working on his leash skills, but with some practice he will be great on walks and hikes. One of his favorite activities is to watch out the window to see any critter or person that might be walking by.

We estimate Buddy to be about 2 years old and possibly a Pitbull and Lab mix, but with rescue we can’t make any guarantees. He weighs about 40-45 lbs, making him the perfect medium size. He will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and sunbathe with Georgia. They will need a loving and patient adopter who will help them build confidence.

Georgia and Buddy are sure to fill your home with love, fun, and laughter. Don’t pass up this one-of-a-kind bonded pair. Currently fostered in Texas, Buddy is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. We will transport him for you to the PNW or NE areas.

*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone!

Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program.

Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue
