My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Salvia, the fastest cat around! I cruise around the house at lightning speed, the same way that I chase feather toys. I am a hunter and I love to chase springs, sparkle-balls, and toy mice. Of course, I also need my beauty rest, and there's nothing I love more than curling up in a human lap or snuggling with my siblings.

My foster family can't get enough of my adorable white chin, and they recently discovered that I have a little bit of white fur in my toe beans! I'm a unique, adventurous kitty who's incredibly easy to love. By the way, I've even made friends with the resident dog, and we get along just fine. I like playing with the resident cats when they're in the mood. I'm not shy, and I absolutely love meeting all the humans who come to visit - they can't resist giving me attention, and who can blame them? Are you ready to welcome a new bundle of love into your life?

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Salvia will need to be adopted with her sibling, Astilbe, or another BKB kitten.

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
