My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Intake Date: 26 July 2024 -------- Age at intake: 10-12 months ----- Breed: terrier mix ----- Size: 30 lbs ----- Status: pound pull, found astray ----- Compatible with: Dogs, cats, children. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none noted ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Gigi! What a cutie! This little beauty was at the pound and her time expired. We had a great foster step in to save her and get her settled in. She is a sweetheart and in a cat and dog foster home now. An update from Gigi's foster. This girl is ready for a forever home! " She is VERY smart and food motivated. It doesn’t take her long to learn anything. I think there might be some Australian Shepherd (or something similar) in her. She LOVES playing fetch (balls outside and stuffies inside) and she has her active moments but… she’s also a bit of a Couch Slug. I can’t think of a home where she wouldn’t fit in. She gets along with everyone and everything! She’s smart and easy to teach/train but not so smart that she gets easily bored and into trouble. She would make a great Running Partner or Agility Dog but she doesn’t need that much activity. 5-10 minutes of fetch a few times a day keeps her content. She can be a bit Food Possessive. She does NOT like sharing her treats and needs just a bit of space to eat in peace but… I feel the same way about my plate. She’s also working through some Separation Anxiety (which has created some Crate Anxiety.) Not all that unexpected as she’s had to adjust to A LOT of changes in her short life. With a stable routine and clear expectations, she’s improving every day! She’s SUCH a good dog!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is required.
