Meet Helen, a spirited puppy full of life and love. Her friendly demeanor is infectious, brightening the day of everyone she meets. She loves everyone equally but we haven't seen her interact with other dogs or children yet. Her loves bounding towards her shelter neighbors, full of enthusiasm. Helen already weighs 31 pounds and is energetic, always ready to engage in a game of fetch or tug-of-war or just running at full speed. Her playful nature is complemented by her cuddly side, making her the perfect companion for cozy evenings. Curiosity is Helen's middle name, as she loves exploring her surroundings and learning new tricks. She not a leash-walking pro (she likes to chew the leash) and she is oblivious about things like house training. She's a sweet soul, always ready to shower you with kisses and is a big fan of belly rubs. Her excitable and jumpy nature adds to her charm, while her cooperative attitude makes training a breeze. Helen's happiness is contagious, making every day brighter with her around. She's waiting for a family to share her love and joy with. CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021.
