My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Awesome Autumn is a 3.5-year-old hound mix, possibly Treeing Walker Coonhound. Autumn loves to go out with her foster family to breweries and she likes meeting new dogs and people. She does very well with other dogs and cats. Autumn is house and crate trained, and has done well with children at adoption events.  This smart girl knows sit, shake and down commands.

In her former home, she barked a lot when alone and caused the owner issues with his apartment neighbors. In her foster home she sometimes barks for just a little when her foster parents go to work, but settles down quickly and stays quiet most of the day. She gets a frozen peanut butter Kong when left alone and stays busy with that for a while, then it's nap time in her crate.

Autumn needs to lose weight. She currently weighs around 73 pounds. Sshe has been walking every day and is making good progress. She loves neighborhood walks and can walk a long way. Her other loves are squeaky dog toys, bones, cuddles and pets. If you are looking for a wonderful new friend, Autumn is your girl!

If you are interested in adopting Autumn, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
