My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Minkus! Minkus came to us after another shelter begged us to take him as they were short on space and he was a staff favorite. The overcrowded shelter staff knew that Raskel's Rescue would take good care of him and that he would have a better chance at adoption, so, because they loved him so much, they decided to let him go and sent him to us!

We can see why they loved him so much. Minkus had very unusual markings and is really quite striking. With super blue eyes and the cutest freckles on his nose, you definitely take notice of him. But it's not all looks wirh Minkus. He also has a winning personality! Minkus is great in play groups with other dogs. He bounds through the play yard with what can only be described as pure joy. Minkus is great with people of all ages. Minkus is just a happy boy and we are so glad that the other shelter reached out to us about him. We agree that he is a super special boy and are so pleased to be the ones who can find him his forever home!

Maybe that home is you!Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is based on making the right match. Though people can apply for a specific animal, we would like to know more about lifestyle and match a pet with that lifestyle. For example, we would not want to match an active dog with an inactive one. Therefore, our primary concern is the interview process and getting to know the potential adopter.
