Hi! My name is Zion. I’m somewhere between 2 and 3 years old. I am a male labrador retriever mix (with pending DNA test results) and weigh roughly 60 pounds. I’ve spent my entire life in a shelter with only an outdoor pen during the day as my exposure to the outside world. Despite my sheltered beginnings I am housebroken with no accidents since transitioning to a loving foster home. I am gentle and quiet even when it comes to being on my leash and food time but have the excitement and manners of a pup experiencing the world for the first time (because I am), so I can pull a bit on the leash while zig zagging to explore my entire world and I tend to jump up on friends and counters. But I am a loving pup and a good listener, and my foster parents are very confident teaching me manners won’t take any special saintly level of patience. They know this because I get along well with other dogs especially my highly trained foster brother (I only annoy him a little) and children; I’m not sure how I feel about cats because I haven’t encountered any. I just really hope I can find a home that I will make happy with how I love to be petted; I nuzzle my face right into you when I get pets, and we can have all of the adventures together. That would make me the happiest pup!
P.S. I've spent A LOT of my life penned up - I would prefer a crateless situation
