My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Lilo Marco, but they call me Tony. I'm looking for a home in South Carolina or a bordering state. I'm a tiny Frenchton (Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix) with a big personality! They also call me Mr. Magoo even though I don't know who that fella is, but they laugh and say I look like him. My owner passed away and I found myself in a loud, crowded shelter. That really scared me and I made sure to let everyone know not to mess with me... Isn't that what you're supposed to do, act all big and bad? Thankfully some kind folks gave me a chance, so away we went way down south. I decided these folks were pretty cool and I wanted to show them how goofy I am.

I love to play and sniff all the good smells, but my most favorite thing is butt scratches! They laugh because I come charging to them and at the last moment swing around and back my behind into "the service bay for butt scratches." I'll jump in your lap and give you kisses too, if you let me. The only thing I hate, though, is having my nails trimmed, so you'll likely have to take me to the vet or groomer to have those done.

I need a quiet home with not a lot of people coming in and out. And I would do better in a house rather than an apartment.

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
