My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Jack Jack, a 1-year-old, 47-pound, chestnut and white hound mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. I'm a sweet boy who still has that puppy love and curiosity, always ready for an adventure in the backyard. You'll often find me bouncing around with joy as I explore my surroundings. But I settle well and snuggle like a baby! I will even have you hold me in your arms for sofa naps. My curly-cue tail, like a Basenji's, adds a unique touch to my charming personality.

I've quickly caught on to potty training and am very treat-motivated, making me a fast learner when it comes to basic training cues. I'm a good eater and even enjoy fruits like bananas and strawberries.

I can be crated for a little while, but I don’t love it. My foster finds that I am well-behaved without the crate and will leave me loose in the bonus room when she goes to work. When left alone I take charge of playing with toys and keeping the couch safe.

I love my friend Whinney Poo, who is a scared dog, and used to check on her throughout the day. We are safe now, so I don’t have to check on her anymore. We can be adopted together, but we’re not bonded, so we can also go to separate homes. I am also friendly with cats and chickens. I like people but I do better with women and can fear some men.

I am neutered, vaccinated and have been treated for heartworms. I'm currently being fostered in Franklin, TN, but I can be transported to a forever home out of state if it's the right fit. Please note, there is a transport fee. If you're looking for a playful, loving companion who will bring joy and laughter into your life. Fill out and application and let's make some wonderful memories together.
