Meet Booker, a beautiful, happy, social boy! His friendly demeanor and easy-going personality make him a delight to be around. Booker was very friendly meeting a male dog and solicited play. With a fondness for playing “keep away”, he’s sure to make playtime fun and entertaining. He allows all handling and pulls moderately on leash. Booker is the kind of dog who’s always there to brighten your day, offering a warm welcome and wagging tail. He’d love for you to continue leash and obedience training with him as he brings his playful, joyful nature to your home. Kids 8 and up is recommended.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
