My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Ramses!
Ramses has been the most wonderful surprise of a kitten! He was found as a stray, and was initially a bit timid and anxious...But after a few days of loving care this little guy turned into an energetic, active, PLAYFUL, purrball! He's a smart kitten who is quite fond of chasing balls and running after feather toys. His foster mom thinks he would be a great candidate to learn to play fetch, if he just had new owners who could devote a little extra time to training! He's warms up to being around people quickly, and he's quite fond of his foster mom, and follows her (and anyone else willing to play or pet!) around like a little shadow, occasionally meowing a request to be picked up and snuggled for a moment! This boy really enjoys being held and carried, and, when he finally runs out of energy, he's not only a lap cat, but he's also an arm cat, and a shoulder cat as well!
This little boy will be ready for adoption after his neuter on September 5, or he is available for foster-to-adopt now! He will do well in a house with another kitten (please consider his sister, Cleopatra, who is his favorite bird-watching partner, and is also available for adoption!), or another friendly, playful, cat...as long as he doesn't have to share his food plate with them If you're interested in adopting Ramses, fill out an application on our website!

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
