My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bucky is a 2-year-old Plott hound with a big heart and an even bigger nose for adventure. Bucky loves scent work He’s a big, goofy lover who is just waiting for someone to invest in him. Bucky is also a resource guarder. Bucky needs a family who is willing to diligently work on training (we’re here to help and will provide guidance and resources) and who has experience working on resource guarding.
Bucky will be undergoing a leg amputation as he was hit by a car. He is deserving of the life he’s never been able to have. All he needs is a chance. He enjoys the company of other dogs around too. He's a big doofus and will bring laughter and joy to any home!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We find loving, responsible, committed permanent homes. An in-depth adoption process is used. This includes taking considerable care in finding perfect matches and educating potential adopters about the responsibilities of bringing a dog, especially that particular dog, into their life. Applications may take several days to process and you may not hear from a UU Board member for up to a few weeks at most.

More about this rescue

Unforgettable Underdogs Dog Rescue is a volunteer run non-profit and no-kill dog rescue serving Northeast Wisconsin. We are dedicated to rescuing the underdogs, those who have found themselves homeless. We strive to help dogs in public high-kill shelters, abandoned or dogs being abused or neglected.

Dogs we care for are spayed or neutered, treated for any medical needs they have, and placed into loving foster homes until they find their permanent home. We aim to help dogs in need without discriminating against age or breed as space in foster homes permit. As our finances allow, we aim to take on the most underdog of the cases and help dogs in the most need.
