Meet Copper, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix with soulful big brown eyes and a striking reddish coat. Copper's journey hasn't been easy—he was found as a stray and, sadly, was never claimed. Understandably, he’s been very scared at the shelter and often stays on his cot, unsure of the world around him. Despite his fear, Copper has started to make small steps toward trust. He’s learned to come for a treat, and while he’s still wary of most people, he never growls. Copper gets along well with other dogs, and with the right family, he has the potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion. He needs a patient and devoted home where his family will be around most of the time, committed to helping him build confidence and never giving up on him. A fenced-in yard is essential to provide Copper with the safe space he needs to explore at his own pace. Copper’s adoption fee is $100.00 and includes first shots, worming, and sterilization. Optional microchipping and registration is available for an additional $20.00.
