Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sylvia is a senior sweetheart looking for a quiet retirement home. She arrived at PACC from a hoarding situation and had been injured by other dogs in the home. This vulnerable gal also had untreated hypothyroidism when she arrived at the shelter, so was very overweight. Luckily for Sylvia, she has been able to spend time in a foster home and is feeling much better these days!
From Sylvia’s foster:
“Sylvia’s wounds have healed and with the addition of two inexpensive medications, she has lost 30 pounds and is feeling much better. She has impeccable house manners - 100% housetrained, very quiet, and not destructive. Sylvia needs continued help from her future family to brave the world- she finds new situations to be a bit scary, but has made great progress. She may benefit from the presence of a calm, social dog in the house. Sylvia accepts handling when needed, and as her sense of safety has increased, she has started to seek out contact with her caregiver. She has made a lot of progress since her arrival in August, and her resilience in the face of a challenging past is remarkable. If you think you can accept her as she currently is and provide the patience and environment to help her heal we’d love to talk to you!”
Sylvia has been through so much in her life and deserves to spend the rest of her days relaxing and living in comfort. She is looking for a family who is committed to her continued care and who will take things at her pace, allowing her to feel safe and secure. Sylvia would like to meet any resident dogs to ensure a good fit. Please ask about Sylvia today!
