Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application
Please do not call the shelter; do the application first.
Bella's prior person surrendered her and her pups (the Pizza Toppings litter) because the owner's health issues were keeping them from caring for the dogs, and they wanted to be sure Bella and the babies would find forever homes that would love them as much as their first person does.
This approximately 50-pound shepherd mix girl should have no trouble at all finding someone to love her - she is a dream dog! Her current foster mom wrote this for Bella:
"Hi my name is Bella, I will soon be an empty nester! I am looking for adventure, will you be my partner?
My pups will soon be looking for their next chapters in life and this leads me into my own. I am a very tender girl, I love toys, playing with my foster brothers and sister. Man, can we do the zoomies! I love wading in the pond, I will dunk my whole head looking for Kermit the frog and other treasures.
I love riding in the farm truck, jeeping with the top off. A girl just loves her hair whipping in the wind, always makes me smile.
I'm a quiet girl over all, I know sit, wait and stop. My foster mom thinks I may been de-barked at some point. My barking is soft and I sound like I have chronic laryngitis.
I have good recall and love being able to play and run!"
Anyone looking for an easy-keeper and devoted companion will LOVE adding Bella to the family! Her foster home does not have cats, so although we know Bella does well with other dogs, she has not yet been cat tested. If you have a feline friend, let us know and we'll try Bella out with some of the confident shelter kitties.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Bella is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
