MEET MURPHY! Murphy is a sweet and gentle 8-month-old shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home! He was rescued from a high-kill California shelter in the nick of time, and now is waiting for his person or people to adopt him! Murphy has been good with other dogs and he weighs about 48 lbs. He's a growing boy! He would be great with an active person or people who can give him the love and exercise he needs. Please email for an application.

We have an extensive application and spend time with potential applicants to make sure we match people with the right dogs. We also have a 100% return policy as we understand sometimes adoptions just do not work out.

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is an active 501(c)(3) animal rescue based in Ventura, Calif. We rescue dogs and cats primarily from overcrowded California shelters, and do our best to find wonderful homes for them. We also take in many owner surrenders every year. We adopt dogs to people in many states, and have a high success rate with our adoptions. We do our best to match people with the right dogs.
