My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elissa Bello came to Camp Pawsawhile with her kittens and was more than happy when they grew out of her nest. Though she somewhat tolerates other cats, she would rather share a home with humans. She absolutely does not want to share it with dogs.

Elissa is always happy to greet you and can be playful when she isnt suspiciously eying her kitty roommates. Elissa loves to hide but will run (and leap) to you for pets the minute you come near her. She head butts you and begs for pets and cuddles, with her favorite being to lay on your chest as she's petted (and she'll nuzzle you a bit too). She will need some time to adjust to a new home, but with some patience and lots of love, she should come out of her shell quickly and become a wonderful feline friend.

We hope that she can find her forever home where if she isnt the only cat, she can still have space to call her own and humans to give her the love and attention this sweet girl deserves.

Elissa's adoption fee has been generously sponsored.

Adopters will only be responsible for a $10 chip registration fee.

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
