My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Cement tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

A volunteer writes: It's my honor to tell you about my friend Cement who's on a search for love and family, and could use just a little bit of grace as she figures things out. The shelter has been a lot for gentle Cement and it can be hard for such a gentle cat to find their footing. Not even the most delicious treats nor the most fun toys could win her friendship when I visited, but I know that it can be difficult to focus on new people and make a good impression, especially when our minds are elsewhere. I assured Cement that tomorrow is always a new day and a chance to try again. Cement is FIV+ and ready to live a full and happy life with a family who understands that offering love, patience, and a little grace can do a world of good. I love her so much and can't wait for someone to take a chance on her.
