Meet our silly and happy boy Ron! Ron came to us after he was found roaming with another dog in town. That dog we have named Ginny and they look like they can be twins! No one ever came to claim them, so they are both looking for new families! Ron and Ginny appear to be some type of Poodle mixes, we think they are Goldendoodles. We believe they are about 2.5 years old. Ron is a really sweet boy who enjoys butt rubs and lots of attention! He is a very friendly dog who loves to be around people. Ron is an active dog who would love a family to play with! When Ron and Ginny first came to us, they had extremely long, matted fur, as you can see from their profile pictures. They were recently fixed and completely shaved down. Please know that these dogs will require REGULAR PROFESSIONAL GROOMING, usually every 6 weeks or so, and this is an extra expense to keep in mind.
Ron is good with other dogs and cats. They can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. Ron and Ginny can be adopted together or separately.

Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
