My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Put Short Bio here: Monet is super friendly to dogs and people. He did great at the dog park He was shy at first but then he went along and played. Monet loves to walk and to explore all the new smells. He lets new people pet him and is very gentle.
Fill out all below:
Personality & Characteristics: Monet is a puppy so he does his puppy hops when he sees other dogs and wants to play. He loves to cuddle and give hugs. He loves his toys and plays on his own in his bed when we humans are busy cooking or cleaning. He just a puppy who wants to be love and get belly rubs. He knows when it's time for bed as I point to his bed. He looks at me and lays down, plays with his toys a bit and then falls asleep. On walks he sometimes likes to go after the birds because he wants to play. Monet is so cute when he wakes up having one ear down and one ear up.
My foster dog is good with: (Dogs, Kids, Cats) Monet is great with dogs and kids. I'm not too sure on cats as he hasn't met one yet. He met the neighborhood kids and even while the kids were loud at times, he let the kids pet him and didn't mind all the noise. When he got tired he just went to the door calmly and looked at me to let me know he wanted to go home.
My foster dog is: (Crate trained, House trained, Low shed) Monet is a puppy so it took 1-2 weeks to get house trained but now he's doing way more better. When he needs to go pee he does on the wee wee pads. He barely sheds.
3 Keywords for your pup:
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy):

Monet is like a 5 or 6 in energy level. He has puppy energy but at the same time he knows when it's time to relax and just be calm at home. He likes to cuddle and put his paw on me to let me know. He gives kisses and affection. Monet does occasionally zoom back and forth when he plays with our dog at home.
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: I've only heard Monet randomly bark 3 times in the time he has been with me. He's only barked when he heard someone in a different apartment coming home. I would say he's definitely a quiet puppy.
Walking Manners: Since he's a puppy he likes to explore the new smells. He does go side to side but doesn't tug when your walking him. He's very welcoming to new people and dogs and does his gentle puppy hops to other dogs that he sees.
Appetite: Monet loves to eat and learned to sit quickly when told.
Does the following: (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above) When we first got Monet he didn't get sick on the car ride home. On his second time in a car he did. Monet doesn't have separation anxiety when left home alone. He mostly plays with his toys or just sleeps and waits patiently for his owner to come home. I took him one bath when I got him and he did pretty well in my opinion. He wanted to get out of the bath but I'm sure it's cause he's not completely use to it just yet.
Favorite Things:Toys, food, cuddles, belly rubs, going on walks
Commands/Tricks: Sit and wait so far. Will continue to teach him more tricks and commands.  I'm confident he will pick it up quickly.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
