My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet King Louis, the regal pup with a heart of gold! With his big, beautiful brown eyes and chocolate brown coat, King Louis is as charming as he is handsome. Weighing in at around 50 lbs, he's the perfect size for cuddling & playing, which just so happen to be two of his favorite pastimes. King Louis absolutely adores being petted and loved, and he'll snuggle right up to you for a belly rub fit for royalty.

King Louis is incredibly friendly with new people - he might get a little excited at times, but it's all love, and he's quick to adjust & responds well to his basic commands! He also likes making new dog pals, but make sure to introduce him slowly so he can let you know if he likes them or not! He loves making new friends and will greet everyone with plenty of kisses. Despite his outgoing nature, King Louis is a southern gentleman who rarely barks. He’s fully house trained and quick to do his business outside, making him a breeze to have around.

King Louis has a passion for walks, where he delights in sniffing and exploring the world around him. NYC offers him a treasure trove of new sights and smells, which he eagerly investigates. His enthusiasm sometimes means he pulls on his leash, but he’s already showing improvement in his leash manners thanks to ongoing training. This progress is making strolls more enjoyable every day. And if you have some cheese on hand, you’ve got a new best friend—he absolutely loves it!

If you're looking for a loving companion who’ll fill your days with joy, loyalty, and plenty of affection, King Louis is the perfect match. He’s ready to find his forever home, where he can be showered with love and cuddles. Could it be with you?

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
