Meet Gizmo, a 3-year-old, 14 lb sheltie mix looking for a home to call his own!

Background: Gizmo was on the run as a stray before being trapped by HARTT. He came to us afraid and exhausted with battered paws and matted fur, but quickly learned to trust his foster family.

Personality: Gizmo is a gentle soul with a big happy smile. He will require some patience as he warms up in a new home but becomes the sweetest guy once he feels safe. After that, he will invite belly rubs and shower you with kisses. He loves to hang out with other dogs and especially loves puppies. Gizmo matches his human’s energy, so if you want to walk a couple miles, Gizmo will excitedly run for the leash. If you want to lounge around and watch tv, he will happily do that too. He just wants to be with you.

Health: Gizmo is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Training: Gizmo is house-trained and uses a dog door.

Ideal Home: Gizmo is much more confident around other dogs so a canine companion in his forever home is a must. He would likely do best in a home without small children where his human’s aren’t gone too much. A secure, fenced-in yard is required to keep him safe.
