Here's what the humans have to say about me:
😍🐶 ADOPT STABLE 🐶😍
This handsome boy got to go to “school” and learned all about how awesome he is. We wanted him to have a name that reflected our goals for him to overcome his lack of confidence, and “Well Balanced” sounded more like a cereal name, so…Stable it is!
Stable had a pretty rough start in life after being abandoned in an apartment, which left him scared and insecure as a young pup. He went into the shelter and after a foster came forward asking to help him, he became part of the I Am Dog Rescue family.
Something that’s really important for young pups (and any dog) to learn is how to make good choices (we want them to do “this” vs. “that”). When they are provided too much guidance and aren’t given the opportunity to make any decisions, they aren’t able to learn the “right choice” vs. a bad decision (chew on my bone vs. chew on this chair, for example). Unfortunately, Stable wasn’t in an environment where he was able to build confidence and learn how to make good decisions, so he needed some extra help to become a happy, balanced best friend for a family.
Stable’s time in training has been fantastic for him. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who still has some goofy puppy in him, which we guarantee will make you laugh every single day. He LOVES snacks and learns quickly, which means he has unlimited potential. Stable loves to play and thrives in a home where he knows what is expected of him. He is just so handsome, and he isn’t above using his charm to talk you into extra playtime, more snacks, and additional snuggles.
Stable would love to have an easygoing, confident doggy pal in his new home, and he’d prefer to avoid little kiddos and kitties. As part of Stable’s adoption, we are including sessions with Stable and his professional training team to help with the transition into a new home. Sharing all the awesome things we’ve learned about what motivates Stable and understanding his approach to new situations will help him and his new family bond quickly and give him a chance to be the very best companion.
We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason.
Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.
