SWEET SWEET SWEET HEIDI needs a 2-3wk foster home while she’s healing from her leg amputation surgery. This darling girl is so special! She’s very happy and affectionate, even after all she has been through. She was recently turned into a high kill shelter in such excruciating pain that she couldn’t even stand up, and she constantly cried out in pain. Her rear leg was broken so badly in two spots it could not be repaired. Even though she is barely 7mo old and weighs only 30lbs, because of this injury she was immediately place on the euthanasia list. We were able to step in and send her to a local hospital for treatment and amputation surgery. Almost immediately after surgery she started to stand and wag her tail. The hospital staff said she is sweetest girl and she captures everyone’s hearts that meets her. She is healing so fast that she has already been cleared for transport so she’ll arrive in the Seattle area on Sunday, Aug 11. We are desperately looking for a foster home, or she will need to be placed in boarding. She loves people and appears to get along just fine with other dogs and cats. Although we’d prefer she does not play too much, until her stitches are removed in a couple of weeks. She is doing great with walking and can even run around a fenced yard for exercise. Heidi is really a very special girl that deserves to have a kind, loving home that will nurture her while she heals. After her stitches are removed, she is available for adoption. During foster, all supplies are provided.
