My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner on 01/23/2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
This beautiful lady with little flopped over ears and a face that looks like it is always smiling is looking for a home where she can be good, happy dog with humans who adore her.! Xoco is a goofy and playful dog who loves engaging in positive reinforcement training because she wants to please. She has high energy and is looking for a person or family to grow with. Xoco would thrive as the only dog in the home, soaking up all your attention. When we stop petting Coco, she licks our hand and if we don't resume the pets, she gently puts her paw on our hand. It is very cute. Want to make a happy dog happier by taking her home, continuing her training (we will help) and watching her as she becomes your beautiful and treasured new family member? If so, Come by and set up a meet and greet with beautiful and happy Xoco. And, yes, you can change her name.!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
