My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you ready to add a touch of elegance to your life? Pearl is a beautiful cat with a touch of independence and a lot of charm.

Pearl came to us with a heavy coat of matting, but don't let that fool you-she's now sporting a chic lion cut that showcases her stunning features. With her new look, she's ready to find a home where she can shine as the elegant lady she is.

Pearl enjoys gentle pats and appreciates being admired from a distance. She may not be the most cuddly of cats, but she has a heart full of affection for those who respect her space. Pearl is an independent soul who thrives in an environment where she can have her own space while being gently admired.

A few things to keep in mind about Pearl:

Grooming Needs: Pearl's lush coat requires regular maintenance. Her new look will need consistent brushing or frequent haircuts to keep her looking fabulous.
Indoor-Only: To keep her fur twig-free and in top condition, Pearl will need to be an indoor cat.

If you're looking for a graceful and reserved companion who will bring a touch of sophistication to your home, Pearl might just be the perfect match for you.

Interested in making Pearl a part of your family? Please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/

Give Pearl the forever home she deserves and watch her blossom into the lovely feline companion she was meant to be.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
