Handsome Muffin certainly lives up to his name, what a handsome boy indeed! This lil guy came to us when his family unfortunately unexpectedly lost their living location and they wanted a safe home for him. Don't let his unimpressed facial expression fool you, he's verrrrry easily impressed if you can find his favorite scritchy spots. Spoiler alert: his faves are his cheeks, under his chin, and the back of his head. He's so so so sweet and affectionate, he just wants a loving home to make all the biscuits in. HF has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and is FELV/FIV negative! If you're able to foster or want to adopt, please submit an application!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

You must use the link to the application provided on the pet's info page. Please do not e-mail the rescue for applications.

2.
Home Check

After checking references, you will be asked to join a video conference with us to view each indoor and outdoor space of your home.

3.
Approve Application

If your references and Virtual Home Visit pass our standards, we approve your application to adopt from our rescue.

4.
Meet the Pet

After approval, if we think you are a good match for the pet you requested, we will set up a meeting for you and the pet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

If you decide to adopt the pet, you must agree to our terms and conditions regarding permanent care for the pet by signing our contract.

6.
Pay Fee

Once the contract is signed, you must submit payment for the adoption fees which are non-refundable.

7.
Take the Pet Home

After we receive your payment, you may take your new pet home.

Additional adoption info

We are also unique in that each pet gets a full CBC (Complete Blood Count), full chemistry, heartworm testing, fecal testing. Urine testing if over the age of 8. Chest radiography if over the age of 8. Microchip, rabies, distemper (dapp), bordetella (kennel cough), leptospirosis. Dewormed and heartworm prevention, spayed and neutered. If any heart murmurs heart rads regardless of age.

We take on seniors, puppies, kittens and any other dog or cat in dire need of medical care. We vow to always be transparent about the health history and any chronic conditions the animals we rescue may face so that they may be placed in loving homes prepared to handle their unique needs.
