My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dionysus is a gorgeous cat who is new to domestic, indoor life. This black-and-white beauty was brought into foster care shortly after giving birth. She was a wonderful momma to her babies despite the stressful circumstances. She still loves playing with and fussing over her kitten; we hope that her adopter will consider keeping her with her daughter, Mini Moo.

Dionysus would be a fabulous companion to another cat or three. :) She grew up in a cat colony so she is good at making friends and loves the attention of other cats. For this reason, we would like her to stay with Mini Moo, or to go to a house that has at least one other cat for her to befriend.

Though she likes to be in the room where things are happening, Dionysus still has some reservations about humans. She is skittish when people are loud/active around her and is nervous when we approach her. Instead, she prefers to do the approaching, and will cautiously do so when she sees you making a petting/scratching motion (or holding a treat). She LOVES being petted and flops on her back instantly to enjoy a scratching session.

Dionysus is very playful and comes running into the room when she hears her toys coming out. Her favorite toys are strings, peacock feathers, and a clump of feathers on a string. She chases her string toys with so much gusto!

We are confident that with a patient family, she will blossom into a wonderful, loving pet.
