My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster or foster to adopt family needed for Kyla!!

NOTE:  This pet is being shared by NorthStar Pet Rescue on behalf of another organization and is not a NorthStar Pet Rescue dog.  NorthStar cannot guarantee the accuracy of this listing and any applications or inquiries made should be sent to (individual contact or website of organization).  Submit an adoption application online at www.njshpetrescue.org today to change Kyla's world.

Kyla was brought to the shelter by animal control when she was found living in a car with her owner who loved her dearly but could not keep her since she was homeless. Kyla was taken in by a shelter and waited many months for someone to come and get her. She has been a staff and volunteer favorite and has been easy for everyone to handle.
.
Kyla is a happy, playful girl who enjoys meeting all people - watch her here: www.facebook.com/reel/947598090217919

Kyla is also attending training and is doing great there too! She is super friendly and lived with children in her previous home. We believe she was loved but her family just fell on hard times. Kyla is very smart and so eager to please. She is a Boxer mix who is 3 years old and about 55 pounds.

Kyla tested well with cats but will need to be an only dog at this time. Kyla is a special girl who is looking for someone to give her a second chance at love.

More about this rescue

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another. For these animals, there is not much hope…except to look in the night sky for the North Star, their only way out. We are a group of passionate volunteers committed to saving these innocent dogs and finding them a new forever home. NorthStar Pet Rescue was founded in 2017, and although we might be a relatively new name among New Jersey animal rescues, you may recognize some of us from the work we’ve done volunteering with other rescues to help animals over the past decade. We are 100% dedicated to operating in an safe, transparent, and ethical manner and to ensuring the best veterinary practices are followed with regards to the care and transport of our animals. NorthStar Pet Rescue is IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN: 81-5348036).
