My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tangerine, a young feline with a sweet and shy disposition. Tangerine`s world is filled with quiet curiosity, gentle exploration, and soft purrs. In her silent moments, she enjoys observing the world around her, taking in every detail with wide, wondering eyes. She`s not one for loud noises or sudden movements; she prefers calm environments where she can relax and feel safe. Tangerine has a soft spot for gentle play, loving every moment of chasing after a laser pointer or batting at a feathered toy. She`s a bit of a homebody, preferring to spend her time in familiar surroundings rather than venturing out. But don`t let her shyness fool you. Tangerine has a lot of love to give and is waiting for the perfect family to share it with. Adopting Tangerine means welcoming a bundle of sweetness into your home, a companion who will offer you quiet companionship and unconditional love.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
